RSM, the 6th largest global network of advisory and audit services, conducted financial and tax due diligence for Craftview Software, a German software publisher specializing in solutions for the construction industry, during the acquisition of Extrabat, a French SaaS (Software as a Service) software provider
Craftview Software, a company backed by Battery Ventures, a global investment firm specializing in technology, was supported by a multidisciplinary team led by Eric Fougedoire, Partner at RSM.
Through this transaction, the Corporate Finance division demonstrates its ability to support the build-up strategies of leading European software publishing groups.
Craftview Software, supported by Battery Ventures, announces the strategic acquisition of Extrabat, a French enterprise software provider specializing in the construction industry.
Cette acquisition stratégique, soutenue par Battery Ventures, représente une étape importante pour Craftview France SAS qui étend sa présence sur le marché français et renforce sa position de fournisseur leader de solutions logicielles complètes pour les artisans à travers l'Europe.
Since its founding in 2007, Extrabat has established itself as the market leader in France in the development of all-in-one management and operational tools for construction professionals. Initially a software publisher for pool builders, Extrabat has since become the market leader and expanded its operations into other sectors. The Extrabat platform helps artisans better manage their business, improve efficiency, and increase competitiveness. Today, more than 4,500 loyal clients and over 41,000 users in France, Spain, and Germany trust Extrabat’s solutions, making it one of the fastest-growing companies in the sector.
"Joining the Craftview group is an exciting new step in our development, with many benefits for our employees, clients, and partners,", explique Anthony Body, founder of Extrabat.
After 15 years of developing Extrabat, Anthony Body has decided to step down from the leadership team. However, we are pleased to announce that he will continue working with Craftview on joint projects. Stéphane Manfroy, Country Manager for France at Craftview, will take over the management of Extrabat.
The acquisition of Extrabat perfectly aligns with Craftview’s ambition to provide software solutions tailored to the specific needs of artisans in certain vertical market segments across Europe. Extrabat expands Craftview’s product portfolio with a cloud-native (SaaS) solution featuring business-specific functionalities and a proven ability to adapt to both the specific needs of a trade and various market segments.
"We are excited to welcome Extrabat to the Craftview Software family," said Klaus Enke, CEO of Craftview. "We are developing a micro-vertical strategy that does not treat all clients the same. Our solutions are customized for each of the niches we focus on. This acquisition underscores this philosophy and expands our market opportunities in new geographic areas. We will continue to draw attention to Extrabat’s cloud platform and leverage existing and new market segments with business-specific solutions that help our clients improve their operations"
