VAT Updates

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) has released several implementing VAT regulations pertaining to tax facilities since the start of 2024. The objective is to promote investment in the new capital (Ibu Kota Negara or IKN) and increase the purchasing power of the populace. Thus, tax incentive are offered for the purchase of home, the purchase of an electric vehicle and the operation of a business in IKN. It is essential to recognize that taxpayers require an update to the VAT legislation to ensure the continued successful operation of the business.

During this 120-minutes webinar, we will cover the updated VAT requirements, as well as the regulations for administering VAT with reference to tax facilities. The technical aspects and substance of the relevant regulations will be presented and explained, followed by open discussions.
