ABOUT AMIR

Amir Abadi Jusuf is the founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Partner of RSM Indonesia. He has over 40 years of experience in the field audit, accounting, governance, risk and control, and other area of management consulting and advisory.

An Indonesia Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Accountant, he is a graduate from University of Indonesia and holds a master degree in accounting from University of Hawaii at Manoa, USA. 

He plays an active and instrumental role in the development of accounting profession in Indonesia. He was Chairman of the Public Accountants’ Compartment, and served as Council member of the Indonesian Institute of Accountants. He was also Chairman of Board Examiners of Public Accountants Certifications, and member of Evaluation and Recommendation Team on Professional Accountants’ Education.  His last position in the profession was Chairman of the Board of Certification and  member of Supervisory Board of the Indonesian Institute of Public Accountants.

Since 1975 he has been teaching at the Accounting Department, Faculty of Economics University of Indonesia. He was Vice Department Head of Accounting at the University of Indonesia and was a Department Head of Accounting Department at the Andalas University, Padang, West Sumatera.
He has been a member of the board of IFEA (The Indonesia Financial Executives Association) for more than 15 years, and was one of the founder and Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Association Receivers and Administrators.

In addition, he also serves as a member of audit committee and as a member of Board of Commissioners in a number of publicly held companies.
