ABOUT EDY

Current role description

Edy is a Partner for Audit Practice at RSM Indonesia. He has more than 30 years experience in accounting and auditing for international companies, private sector, state-owned enterprises, and public companies in various industrial sectors in Indonesia.

Before joining RSM Indonesia, he worked for one of Big Four public accounting firm for almost 20 years. He then continued his career at well-known insurance companies, with last position as Chief Financial Officer and Director.

Current service skills and experience

Edy has almost 20 years of experience in auditing companies in Indonesia, while becoming a technical resource person for IFRS and local accounting standards interpretation and implementation, including poses practical knowledge on taxation, risk management and business processes.

During his tenure as CFO & Director in one of leading insurance company, Edy has experience in oversight the organizational functions and aspects involving financial management, actuarial services, strategic management, budget control, investment operation, agency compensation, procurement, and various a-hoc projects including certain merger and acquisition initiatives.

He has also completed the IFRS 17 - Insurance Contract Implementation Project for reporting purposes during his tenure as CFO in one of leading insurance company.

Edy has years of experience in auditing a diverse portfolio of clients from major multinationals companies as well as public and private companies in Indonesia.

Edy takes a fresh perspective and uses an intelligent risk-based audit approach, working closely with clients to understand their business and identify future challenges. He collaborates with experienced and dedicated experts to address specific needs and carry out his clients' vision. He balances high-level procedures while maintaining attention to detail, using robust and insightful journal testing and analytical data procedures. Clients can expect timely services that meet deadlines and keep them regularly updated to identify and resolve problems.

  • Bachelor of Economics, majoring in Accounting, Universitas Indonesia
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), the IAPI
  • Chartered Accountant (CA), the IAI
