Summary of role

As an Audit Senior Manager, my primary responsibilities include overseeing the audit process from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining high-quality audit deliverables. I lead and mentor audit teams, manage client relationships, and provide strategic insights to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, I am responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, reviewing audit workpapers, and ensuring that all findings are thoroughly documented and communicated to stakeholders.

What’s been the highlight so far?

The highlight of my role so far has been the opportunity to lead a diverse team of talented professionals. Successfully completing a complex audit for a major client, which resulted in significant improvements to their internal controls and processes, was particularly rewarding. This experience not only showcased our team’s capabilities but also strengthened our client relationship and demonstrated the value we bring to their organisation.

What’s been your biggest challenge so far?

The biggest challenge I’ve faced has been navigating the varying regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions. Ensuring that our audit processes are compliant while adapting to local policies has required a great deal of coordination and continuous learning. Additionally, managing tight deadlines and balancing multiple high-priority engagements simultaneously has tested my organisational and leadership skills.
