In the ‘Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia’ no. 93/2020 from 07.04.2020 the Decree-law for financial support to the employers of the private sector affected by the health-economic crisis caused by COVID-19, for payment of the salary for the months of April and May 2020 has been published.
The main measure of the set of measures to support the business sector aimed at reducing the economic damage caused by proclaiming a coronavirus pandemic - COVID-19 adopted by the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia is the direct financial support in the amount of 14,500 MKD monthly per employee form all companies affected by the crisis for the months of April and May.
With this Decree-law the conditions, manner, and procedure for the financial support to the employers of the private sector affected by the health-economic crisis caused by COVID-19 for payment of the salary for the months of April and May 2020 are being regulated.
Please pay special attention to the following articles of the Decree:
- Article 3, item 4 - which describes the conditions for using the financial support
- Article 4 - which describes for which employees the measure is not applicable
- Article 7 - which defines the amount of the obligation to return the received financial funds.
This Decree-law shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the „Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia “.
