RSM, the 6th largest global network of consulting and auditing firms, carried out the buy-side due diligence in financial, legal, tax, and human resources for VIDAL Group, a leading European company in health-related information and information systems, during the acquisition of the Agence C.C.C., which specializes in medical events and medical publishing.

A multidisciplinary team, composed of RSM partners Eric Fougedoire and Cécile Guyot, along with their teams, supported VIDAL Group during this external growth operation.

Throught  this transaction, RSM’s Corporate Finance division demonstrates its ability to support Life Sciences sector companies in their build-up strategies.

The C.C.C. Agency specializes in medical events, medical publishing, and organizes the Preuves & Pratiques congress cycle.  Each year, the Preuves & Pratiques congresses tour 26 French cities. Dedicated to the training of general practitioners and medical interns, they bring together more than 6,500 general practitioners. A multi-channel event and communication agency, it stands out for integrating all the essential professions needed in medical event management.

This transaction represents a particularly synergistic and complementary opportunity for VIDAL Group, notably due to:

  • The independence of its programs and the scientific and medical quality of the content presented, which aligns perfectly with VIDAL's rigorous editorial line.
  • Its primary focus on general practitioners, echoing the services of VIDAL, which is already a reference in this field.
  • Its presence in regional areas, close to physician populations, complementing VIDAL’s national activities.
  • Its organizational expertise and performance in managing end-to-end medical events, which complement VIDAL’s digital expertise.

Vincent BOUVIER, President of VIDAL Group, commented: "This acquisition complements our quality medical training and information services for general practitioners and strengthens VIDAL’s expertise in these areas as well as in medical events."

The Agence C.C.C., founded in 2002, joined the GL Events Group in February 2017 to strengthen its Medical Education and congress organizing activities.

Olivier GINON, CEO of GL Events, stated: "We have had a successful growth path with the agency’s teams. We are pleased that C.C.C. is joining a major player in the sector, and we are confident in the implementation of a new phase of development in an environment at the heart of medical knowledge."
