Our specialized Services and training
As part of its methodological assistance and support services to banks, supervised intermediaries, and SIMs, it conducts analysis of the regulatory and operational impacts of legislation and regulations of greatest relevance to the Banks' activities (so-called ex ante compliance).
RSM performs methodological and operational assistance and support services to Significant and Less Significant Banks and SIMs subject to the new BRRD requirements. The assistance consists in accompanying the bank's self-assessment process mandatory from Dec. 31, 2024 required by the recent EBA resolution guidelines transposed by the Bank of Italy and in particular the drafting of the disclosure (Resolution Notes) and the compilation of the EBA templates to be sent to the Resolution Authority.
In addition, RSM supports institutions in strengthening the recovery process and preparing the relevant plan.
In 2024, member states will have to comply with the European directives on Non Performing Loans (NPLs, EU Directive 2021/2167). The directive will result in the need to adapt to the regulations from both a compliance and process and data availability perspective with a competitive advantage for more structured players. The directive represents a development opportunity for servicers and originators.
RSM carries out:
- Assistance services and methodological and operational support in major adjustments required by regulations;
- Preparation of the document set for the permit application;
- Data remediation/enrichment to internal credit process activities (appraisals, monitoring and recovery) and the securitization operation.
RSM provides methodological and operational assistance and support services to financial companies that intend to qualify as supervised intermediaries and go through the authorization process required by supervisory regulations. The support includes assistance with the internal activities of the Program of Activities pursuant to the Supervisory Instructions for Intermediaries (Circular No. 288 of April 3, 2015), Title 1, Chapter 1, Section III, for example, with reference to the drafting of the Financial Business Plan under different market and stress scenarios, risk management analyses underlying the risk management and governance policy, and the design of the ICT organizational structure.
RSM conducts training seminars to corporate bodies (i.e., Boards of Directors, Boards of Statutory Auditors, and Senior Management), control functions, and managerial operational functions of banks, supervised intermediaries, and SIMs, in the areas of ESG, AML, Risk & Strategy, ICT, and IFRS.
