What did you do before coming to RSM Switzerland?
My journey to becoming an Assistant Manager Auditor at RSM Switzerland has been shaped by several key stages. Initially, I was a professor of economics and management in France, but I decided to shift my career towards finance.
This lead me to obtain a master's degree in wealth management at the University of Luxembourg. For family reasons, we moved to Geneva in 2019, where I started a new professional chapter at RSM.
There, I had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in auditing and quickly immerse myself in the field. Working closely with a partner in the firm allowed me to rapidly develop my audit skills, engage directly with clients across all audit phases, and contribute to various cross-functional projects.
What initially attracted you to auditing, and what keeps you passionate about your role?
I was drawn to auditing because I wanted to work in a corporate environment that presented new challenges, while still enjoying the continuous learning aspect. I also greatly appreciate the client interactions and the value we bring to help them continue their activities. What keeps me passionate is the diversity of each day—tasks vary throughout the year, from audit planning and reviewing client documents to drafting reports, managing client relationships, and supporting team projects. It is incredibly rewarding to see projects’ progress and to work collaboratively, which makes the role both enriching and satisfying.
What was your first impression of RSM?
My first impression of RSM came from the colleagues I met who spoke highly of the company and made me want to get involved. Shortly after, I had the opportunity to join. What really stood out to me when I arrived was the positive work environment with constant communication across all levels of the company. It’s something quite unique that I haven’t experienced in other places, and it’s truly one of the company’s strengths.
“What I enjoy most about working at RSM is the pleasure of collaborating in a team where everyone can contribute to projects and feel heard and valued at all levels. I really appreciate the opportunity to grow and continue learning in a positive environment.”
What has been your favourite experience at RSM?
My favourite experience at RSM Switzerland was the RSM World Day we spent in Bern. I found it truly wonderful. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet colleagues from other teams, get to know each other, and share moments outside of work. This kind of experience leaves a lasting impression and contributes positively to the image and atmosphere of the company.
What advice would you give to someone aspiring to a career in auditing or a leadership role like yours?
My advice for someone aspiring to a career in auditing or a leadership role is to be bold and take risks while acting with humility. We should approach our work with simplicity, self-discipline, and commitment. I believe the environment at RSM supports this mindset, as it's both a personal journey and one that is embraced and valued by the workplace. Additionally, I would say it is important to maintain an open mindset to learn from the differences in others; this is essential for growth.
How do you manage your work life balance?
I have two children, aged 11 and 15, and family life is essential for my work-life balance. While I work full-time, I enjoy good flexibility, especially during busy periods, to spend quality time with my loved ones. We share passions for travel and music; I play the violin, and my child, a conservatory graduate, performs with symphonic orchestras in Geneva. Last year, we even had the incredible experience of playing together in the same orchestra. This flexibility is invaluable as it enables me to adapt to family needs and important moments.
